Labour Plans 'Legal Framework' For TV Debates
卡梅倫拒絕工黨電視辯論安排
The Labor leader in Scotland today, his party’s toughest battleground which is why Ed Miliband didn’t want the Scottish Nationals on stage in this TV debate. But today he formally signed up to the broadcaster’s schedule to put pressure on the Prime Minister.
工黨領袖今天在蘇格蘭。這是他的黨派最艱苦的戰場。這也是德·米利班德(Ed Miliband)不想蘇格蘭公民參加這場電視辯論的原因。但是今天，他正式接受了廣播公司安排的時間，向首相施壓。
“I say today with Cameron today: ‘you can refuse to face the public, but you can’t deny your record. You can try to chicken out of the debates, but don’t ever again to provide strong leadership to the country’.”

Nick Clegg didn’t much like the news seven-leader format either, which puts the Lib Dems on apart with Greens and Plaid Cymru, but he’s also agreed the proposals.

“I think it’s a little bit arrogant of the conservatives, just somehow assume that they can sort of, you know dictate terms. These all debates run by the Conservative Party, they belong to the British, to the British People.”

David Cameron was in North London today with a friendly audience. But even with all the focus on him, he didn’t discuss the issue. He said he do a seven-head debate in ultimate he described he’s breaking the logjam. But now he’s being betrayed as the only span on the works. His party blames the broadcasters for scheduling the main debate too late.

“If you are a broadcaster, and you come up with the bright idea of having a head-to-head debate between the Prime Minister and Ed Miliband, and in fact I do believe there should be head-to-head debates, how can you have it on the third of the April when a third of the people are already voted by post? What the broadcasts are up to?”

But despite this, Mr. Cameron’s ultimatum on the debates doesn’t include even a rescheduled head-to-head with Ed Miliband who says he’ll do it anytime.
