Potential Republican candidates target US economy

Senator Ted Cruz was one of three potential Republican candidates on the panel of the American Recovery Policy Forum in California on Sunday night. He targeted President Barack Obama's "big government" policies, saying it hasn't helped income inequality.

Senator Rand Paul hit out at the country's huge budget deficit.

He said the deficit's decreasing -- well, technically that's kind of true, but it makes you think he's somehow a fiscal conservative. He quadrupled the deficit for many years and now they're coming off a little bit of quadrupling, but he is set to add more debt than all 43 Presidents combined."

Senator Marco Rubio also brought up worries that people's wages aren't matching the rising cost of living.

My parents as a bartender and a maid working at a hotel like this, made it to the middle class, but they didn't have a cable bill until I insisted on ESPN, but they didn't have a cell phone bill until their 70s. They didn't have an internet bill -- these are the sorts of things that are now crushing people."

Greek youths welcome Syriza victory

Hundreds gather outside Syriza's campaign tent in Athens to celebrate the victory in the snap general election. Nearly all the votes have been counted and Alexis Tsipras' anti-austerity party is on its way to become the first government in the euro zone that's openly opposed to bailout conditions set by the EU and International Monetary Fund. During the economic crisis, youth unemployment rose to nearly 60 percent.

"Cyber Caliphate" hacks Malaysia Airlines website

This is the page that appears when you type in the address for the Malaysia Airlines' official website into a browser. It was hacked on Monday by a group that calls itself the "Official Cyber Caliphate". The airline said via its Twitter account that it's working on fixing the website. Malaysia Airlines was hit by two disasters last year -- the disappearance of MH370 in March and the shooting down of MH17 a few months later.
