More than 100 people injured in Rio train collision
里約火車相撞事故致超過100人受傷
Some 140 people are injured in a collision between two trains on the outskirts of Rio de Janieiro, according to local media. Authorities say one of the trains was stopped at a station when the other one crashed into it from behind, jolting the passengers.
據當地媒體報道稱，大約140人在里約熱內盧郊區兩輛火車相撞事件中受傷。當局表示，一輛貨車在車站被截停，另外一輛從后面撞擊，造成乘客嚴重顛簸。
(SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) UNIDENTIFIED VICTIM SAYING: "I felt the impact and when I looked around everyone was on the floor, people on top of each other. It was a real mess. When we got out we saw a man under the train too, the man was badly injured."

Injured passengers were rushed to four health care centers in the surrounding area. According to some witnesses, thieves were taking advantage of the chaotic scene:

The accident, which followed a day of wet and stormy weather, is under investigation.

Female suicide bomber hits Istanbul police station

The scene of an attack in Istanbul's historic Sultanahmet district ... it's here a female suicide bomber blew herself up inside a police station. Authorities say she killed one officer and wounded another. Istanbul's governor says she spoke English as she entered the building but her nationality and identity were unknown. No group has immediately claimed responsibility for this attack.

Ex-mayor's wife arrested in case of missing Mexican students
墨西哥學生失蹤案涉案市長妻子被捕
The wife of the former mayor of Iguala, Mexico has now been formally arrested in connection with the abduction and possible murder of 43 students. The students went missing in September from the southwestern town after clashing with police. Mexican authorities say Maria de Los Angeles Pineda Villa and her husband are the possible masterminds in the case. The couple went on the run but were arrested in November in Mexico City. An official from the Mexican Attorney General's office said on Monday a federal judge issued an arrest warrant for the wife and she has been transferred to a high security prsion in western Mexico. A small group of protesters gathered outside to call for justice for the missing students.
