Massive fire shuts down Phoenix freeway ramps

Intense flames and thick black smoke causing a traffic nightmare in Phoenix. The massive fire that broke out a plumbing company forced the closure of several ramps on Interstate 10 and Interstate 17. Several nearby businesses also had to be evacuated. So far, no injuries have been reported. But the road closures are causing major backups. Local media is reporting the plumbing company where the fire broke out held propane bottles and flammable metals. Air quality workers are heading to the area to test for any possible environmental impact.

War rages in Syria, as U.N. set to vote on aid resolution

New amateur videos purport to show continuous and intensified fighting across Syria. This video which can not be independently verified appears to show an explosion in Aleppo. More footage appears to barrel bombing in Deraa, followed by what's said to be the aftermath. The U.N. Security Council will likely vote on a draft resolution to boost humanitarian aid in the war-torn country on Friday. But it remains unclear whether Russia and China would support it. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says aid should abide by international humanitarian laws.

I don't see why people cannot reiterate this now. Especially, since we have so many examples when not food, not medicines, but arms and other equipment for the fighters are being supplied across borders without asking anyone and if people are so concerned about using this particular method of providing assistance they could use the same routes as they use to supply arms."

In Belgium, delegates and foreign ministers arrive at the European Union Council where they are debating sanctions against Ukrainian officials responsible for recent bloodshed.
