Putin calls Volgograd bomb attacks "abomination"
普京稱伏爾加格勒襲擊令人痛恨
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday called the two deadly bombings in Volgograd an "abomination." The president visited the city where more than 34 people were killed earlier this week in back-to-back suicide bombings. He stopped by the hospital where a number of the injured are recovering. He later laid flowers at a memorial at the scene of one of the bombings. In a meeting with security officials, Putin said that Russia would find a way to keep citizens safe.

The city lies at the Western edge of the Caucasus Mountains, within a strip of land that insurgents want to turn into an Islamic State. Putin has increased security following the blasts. More than 5,000 police and interior ministry troops have mobilized in Volgograd.
