這個東西爛多了.
跟 damn 很類似, 也同樣常被拿來加強語氣的還有一個字, 就是 heck. Heck 這個字原來是地獄 hell 的意思, 但是說 hell 太難聽了, 所以老美就發明了 heck 這個字. Hell 和 heck 這類字基本上是抱怨, 不耐煩, 發脾氣等負面用法. 在日常生活中的老美常用 hell 或 heck 來加強負面的語氣. 例如單講 "This one is a lot worse." 不夠, 還要再用 heck 強調一下就變成了, "This one is a heck lot worse." 另外同樣也是十分常見的用法, "What the heck is that?" (那是什么鬼東西? ps. 通常是看到什么令你十分驚訝的東西. ) "What the heck are you standing here?" (你站在這里作什么?) 或者是請人家滾出去, "Get the heck out of here."
