一.realize：vt. 實(shí)現(xiàn)，了解，意識(shí)到，變賣(mài)
【詞義辨析】
think conceive imagine fancy realize
think: 最普通用詞，指想或思索，也指由反復(fù)思考而作出判斷或得出結(jié)論等。
conceive: 指在頭腦中組織好自己的思想，在心中形成一個(gè)系統(tǒng)的思想或一個(gè)見(jiàn)解。
imagine: 比conceive更強(qiáng)調(diào)形象思維，指在頭腦中形成一個(gè)清晰明確的意象。
fancy: 與imagine略不同，往往指的是不切實(shí)際的，屬于夢(mèng)幻般的想象。
realize: 指領(lǐng)悟，通過(guò)生動(dòng)的構(gòu)思或想象從而抓住事物的本質(zhì)。
【例句用法】
1.Do you realize that all of these shirts are half off?
你知道這些襯衫都賣(mài)半價(jià)了嗎？
2.Only after you lose your health, will you realize the importance of health.
唯有在失去健康之后，我們才能意識(shí)到健康的重要。
3.I'm sorry to say I didn't realize that.
很遺憾我并不了解此事。
4.How much did you realize on those paintings?
那些畫(huà)你賣(mài)了多少錢(qián)?
5.The furniture realized 900 at the sale.
拍賣(mài)這家具獲900英鎊。
6.He could not realize his own danger.
他未能意識(shí)到自己的危險(xiǎn)。
二.good：adj. 好的，上等的，優(yōu)秀的 n. 好處，善行 (復(fù))goods：商品，貨物
【詞語(yǔ)用法】
good慣用于詞組the good ship和the good town of中，一般不表示特別含義；
good to表示“和善”，而good for表示“有益于”。
He is good to her.
他對(duì)她很和善。
A walk will be good for you.
散步對(duì)你有益。
good既可作形容詞，也可作名詞。
He is not good at the game.
句中g(shù)ood作形容詞指“擅長(zhǎng)的”。
He is no good at the game.
句中g(shù)ood作名詞指“益處”。
作形容詞時(shí)，good可用的句型：
Somebody is not very good at something.
There is no good in doing something.
作名詞時(shí)，good可用的句型。
Somebody is not much good at something.
There is not much good in doing something.
可以存在most good，表示“很好的”，不可改為best。
It is most good of you to come.
你來(lái)這里表明了你的好意。
比較more good與better的意思：
He looks more good than you.
他比你好看。
He looks better than you.
他身體比你好。
good作名詞時(shí)，指“益處”，屬于抽象名詞。但偶爾指具體的一個(gè)益處，作可數(shù)名詞；
區(qū)別for good和for ever：兩者都指“永遠(yuǎn)”，但for good表一次動(dòng)作帶來(lái)的永久性結(jié)果。
Philip left the country for good.
菲利普永遠(yuǎn)離開(kāi)這個(gè)國(guó)家了，再不回來(lái)了。
I shall love my work for good.
該句的表示是錯(cuò)誤的，應(yīng)改for good為for ever。
可以省略good morning中的good，但不可省略good afternoon, good evening和good night中的good；as good as是狀語(yǔ)短語(yǔ)，表示“幾乎”的意思。
He as good as said so.
可以算他這樣說(shuō)了，雖然他實(shí)際上沒(méi)這樣說(shuō)。
表示“做某事沒(méi)有用，無(wú)效”時(shí)，可用句式it is no good doing something來(lái)表達(dá)。
【錯(cuò)句舉例與錯(cuò)句分析】
錯(cuò)句：It is no good to blame him.
糾正：It is no good blaming him.
翻譯：責(zé)備他是沒(méi)有用的。
分析：表示“做某事沒(méi)有用，無(wú)效”時(shí)，可用句式it is no good doing something來(lái)表達(dá)，而非不定式。
