At five to three they left the castle and made their way across the grounds.
星期五下午四點五十五分，哈利和羅恩離開城堡，穿過草地，往哈格力家走去
Hagrid lived in a small wooden house on the edge of the forbidden forest. A crossbow and a pair of galoshes were outside the front door.
哈格力住在森林邊上的一間小木屋里，他的房子門前總放著一副石弓和一雙橡膠雨鞋。
When Harry knocked they heard a frantic scrabbling from inside and several booming barks.
哈利伸手敲了敲門，里邊馬上傳來一陣叫人害怕的跑動聲，一只狗狂吠著向門這邊跑過來了。
Then Hagrid's voice rang out, saying, “Back, Fang — back.”
接著聽到哈格力高聲叫嚷："回來，弗蘭！回來！"
Hagrid's big, hairy face appeared in the crack as he pulled the door open.Hang on,
哈格力打開一點點門，在門縫里露出他那張毛茸茸的大臉："請稍等一會兒。
he said. “Back, Fang.”
嘿，弗蘭，你快回自己窩里去。"
He let them in, struggling to keep a hold on the collar of an enormous black boarhound.
哈格力讓他們倆進來，然后和他的那只巨型的黑色大丹狗弗蘭激烈斗爭了一會兒，才把弗蘭的項圈給拉住。
There was only one room inside.
屋里邊只有一間房
Hams and pheasants were hanging from the ceiling, a copper kettle was boiling on the open fire, and in the corner stood a massive bed with apatchwork quilt over it.
房間的頂部掛著火腿和風(fēng)雞。火爐上，一只銅水壺正煮著開水。在角落里有一張巨大的床，床上胡亂地扔著一張千縫百補的棉被。
Make yerselves at home, said Hagrid, letting go of Fang, who bounded straight at Ron and started licking his ears.
隨便坐，隨便坐！當(dāng)自己家里一樣好了。哈格力說。他放開弗蘭，弗蘭"呼"地一下子撲到羅恩身邊，親熱地舔了舔羅恩的耳朵。
Like Hagrid, Fang was clearly not as fierce as he looked.
和它的主人哈格力一樣，弗蘭也只是看上去有點兇而已。
This is Ron,Harry told Hagrid, who was pouring boiling water into a large teapot and putting rock cakes onto a plate.
他叫羅恩。哈利告訴哈格力。哈格力正忙著把開水倒進一個大茶壺里，又端來一盤蛋糕卷。
Another Weasley, eh? said Hagrid, glancing at Ron's freckles. I spent half me life chasin'yer twin brothers away from the forest.
他看了一眼羅恩，注意到了羅恩臉上的雀斑，說："你也是威斯里家的孩子吧？我可花了好多時間在這禁林里追逐那對雙胞胎呢！"
The rock cakes were shapeless lumps with raisins that almost broke their teeth, but Harry and Ron pretended to be enjoying them as they toldHagrid all about their first lessons.
哈格力的蛋糕卷差點兒沒把哈利和羅恩的牙齒給磕了下來，但是哈利和羅恩假裝著很享受的樣子。他們把這一周來的學(xué)習(xí)生活情況對哈格力講了。
Fang rested his head on Harry's knee and drooled all over his robes.
弗蘭則把它的巨頭擱到哈利的膝蓋上睡大覺，還流口水弄濕了哈利的衣服。
Harry and Ron were delighted to hear Hagrid call Filch "that old git".
聽到哈格力把門房費馳叫做"那個老家伙。"哈利和羅恩心里可高興了。
An'as fer that cat, Mrs. Norris, I'd like ter introduce her to Fang sometime.
至于那只老貓，叫什么來著？諾麗絲夫人，待我有空時我會介紹弗蘭和它認識認識的。
D'yeh know, every time I go up ter the school, she follows me everywhere? Can't get rid of her — Filch puts her up to it.
那家伙，每一次我到學(xué)校里去，它總愛跟著我，怎么也擺脫不了。哼，肯定是費馳授意它這么干的。
Harry told Hagrid about Snape's lesson.
哈利又把史綱皮上課時怎么針對他的事告訴哈格力。
Hagrid, like Ron, told Harry not to worry about it, that Snape liked hardly any of the students.
哈格力也和羅恩一樣勸哈利不用太擔(dān)心，史納皮那個家伙幾乎是對每一個學(xué)生都沒有什么好感的啦。
But he seemed to really hate me.
但是，他真的好像很討厭我。
Rubbish! said Hagrid. Why should he?
胡說！哈格力說，他干嘛要討厭你呢？
Yet Harry couldn't help thinking that Hagrid didn't quite meet his eyes when he said that.
但是哈利覺得好奇怪，哈格力說話時干嘛連看都不敢看他？
