一.express：n.快車, 快遞, 專使 adj.明確的, 急速的, 直接的 adv.用快遞 vt.表達, 表示, 擠壓出, 快遞
【語法用法】
在美國，express company指“快遞公司”，相當于英國的carrier 或firm of carriers。 express在美國還可表示“快遞事業”或“由快遞公司運送”；
express同explicit兩者均有表示“明確的”的意思，但是express通常在表述清楚的時候帶著一定的目的性，去解釋或辯解。不同的是，explicit一般是在給出詳細的細節去作說明解釋，使觀點更清楚明確；
express oneself表示“表達自己的意思”，有時會在oneself后加as。
He expressed himself perfectly satisfied.
他表示自己很滿意。
【錯句舉例與錯句分析】
錯句: Even though she had been studying English for a long time before she came to Australia, it is still difficult for her to express her own ideas.
訂正: Even though she had been studying English for a long time before she came to Australia, it is still difficult for her to express herself.
翻譯: 盡管她在來澳洲前已經學了很長一段時間的英語，但她還是很難將自己的想法表述清楚。
分析: express oneself是“表示自己的意思”的固定用語。

二.accept：vt.接受, 同意, 承擔(責任等) vi.接受
【語法用法】
同receive不同，accept是“接受”，而receive是“收到”。accept a present是“接受一個禮物”，不會退還，而receive a present是“收到一個禮物”，有可能會退還；
accept和accept of以前可以替換使用，現accept of用的比較少，往往帶有“正式”或“垂恩”之意。只適用于說接受present，favour，love，hospitality等，不適于接受theory，advice，apology，challenge，offer，invitation，ruling等；
單獨用作“接受邀請或條件”等意思，
If you accept, please let me know immediately.
表明接受或不接受邀請時，一般用現在時態。
I am pleased to accept your invitation.
不用I shall be pleased to accept your invitation.
有表示“贊成”的意思，
She accepted my claim to be heard.
她贊成大家知道我的要求。
【詞義辨析】
accept, receive, admit, take
這些動詞均有“接受、接納”之意。
accept強調主動地或自愿地接受，或者說，經過考慮后同意接受。
receive著重僅僅接到或收到這一結論或事實，而不含采取主動或積極行動的意思。
admit作“接受”講時，強調準許或批準。
take與receive同意，是receive的日常用法，側重不帶主觀意愿地收下或接受。
【例句用法】
They accepted responsibility for the accident.
他們承認了對這次事故所負的責任。
The police are not allowed to accept rewards.
警察是不允許接受酬金的。
