有人可能想起的另外的花錢。

書這個東西要花很多時間/很多錢。

　　要老鞋來辨析，可從中文“花費”上做文章。spend說的是“花”，而cost重的是“費”。不信試試。

　　再說pens/pend這個部件。

　　前面已述pend=hang=吊，有suspend(吊/吊銷）,depend on(依靠），pendent(吊著的飾物）等為證。

　　此處卻顯得與“錢”有關(guān)。至于“吊”與“花費”又有何相關(guān)，老鞋沒管。

　　pension: 養(yǎng)老金

　　If you spend all the money you get, you will have to depend on pension when old.

　　若把所有錢都“月光”掉，老了將只能靠養(yǎng)老金。

　　compensate: 賠償，補償

　　Don't worry, the insurance company will compensate for your loss.

　　別擔(dān)心，保險公司會對你的損失進行賠償。
