1. as... as I could... 盡我所能地做……

eg. Before long, my interest in piano was transferred to other things. I began to escape the practice as much as I could.

3. hold up 舉起；阻擋；攔截

eg. I would hold up a blue circle, make them touch the circle and say blue.
我會(huì)舉起一只藍(lán)色的圓環(huán)，讓他們觸摸圓環(huán)，說出藍(lán)色這個(gè)單詞。

eg. I hold up the photograph without having told you anything about her.
我拿著照片,不告訴你任何關(guān)于她的事情。
