1. die away vt. 減弱

eg. The fire in the forest is dying down, and will soon die away.
森林的火勢在逐漸減弱，不久會消失的。

eg. Central asian China receives very little rain, for the rain-laden typhoons die away long before they reach it.
新疆地區降雨很少，夾帶雨水的臺風風力不濟，早已減弱，無法抵達中亞。

消失：
eg. He is certain he heard footsteps: they come nearer, and then die away.
他確信他聽到了腳步聲：他們來得更近了，然后漸漸地消失了。

eg. After the initial cheers, the noise of the crowd began to die away as the group started playing.
開始的歡呼聲結束以后，樂園開始演奏，人們的喧鬧聲也隨之逐漸消失。

2. in front of 在……前面

eg. Every time a door closes another one opens, look for the open doors, look for the opportunities that are in front of you.
每次當一扇門關閉的時候,就會有另一扇門打開,去尋找那些敞開的門,尋找在你面前的那些機會。

eg. Just smile and go to the next card. Not the one in front of you, but to the next following.

3. in danger 在危險中

eg. What traditions in China are disappearing or are in danger of disappearing?
中國什么傳統習俗正在消失或者有消失的危險？

eg. Although enjoyed by many, they are in danger of fading away.
盡管有很多人喜歡，但它們仍面臨消逝的危險。
