But Sybil's brother was a sailor and had to go off to Australia.

One night, Dorian took his friends to see Sybil acting as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.
一天晚上，道林帶著他的朋友去看希比爾飾演《羅密歐與茱麗葉》中的茱麗葉。
She acted badly and after the performance Dorian spoke to Sybil.
她演得很糟糕，在演出后道林對(duì)希比爾這么說(shuō)。
He was very angry with her.

"But how can I pretend to be Juliet now that I know what real love is?" she said to him.

Dorian said that he had loved her because she was a good actress.
道林說(shuō)他愛(ài)她是因?yàn)樗莻€(gè)好演員。
Now he didn't love her any more and so he left her.
但是他現(xiàn)在不再愛(ài)她了，所以他離開(kāi)了她。
When he got back home Dorian looked at his portrait again.
回家后，道林又盯著他的畫(huà)像。
Somehow it was different.
不知為什么畫(huà)像有些不同了。
The face in the picture now had a cruel smile.
畫(huà)像中的臉有著殘酷的笑容。
Then Dorian remembered his wish.
然后道林想起他許的愿望。
He realised that he had been cruel to Sybil.
他認(rèn)識(shí)到自己對(duì)希比爾很殘酷。
Tomorrow he would see her and be good to her and make up for what he had done.
明天他將去看她，對(duì)她好點(diǎn)，彌補(bǔ)他所做的事情。
But the next day Lord Henry brought Dorian some terrible news.
但是第二天亨利爵士給道林帶來(lái)了一個(gè)恐怖的消息。
Sybil had killed herself!
希比爾自殺了！
Lord Henry told him not to worry,
亨利爵士讓他不要擔(dān)心，
that it would have been impossible to marry her anyway - she was just an actress.
無(wú)論如何娶她是不可能的——她只是一個(gè)女演員。
When Lord Henry left, Dorian looked at the picture of himself again.
當(dāng)亨利爵士離開(kāi)后，道林又看著他的畫(huà)像。
He realised that he would stay young and handsome forever
他明白他將永遠(yuǎn)保持年輕和英俊，
and that the face in the picture would become ugly, old and cruel.
而畫(huà)像中的臉將會(huì)變得丑陋、衰老、殘酷。
