A train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in Belgium causing a series of explosions and a massive fire. One person was found dead and 17 were injured say local officials. It isn't clear at this point what the cause of death was. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene and at least 300 people were evacuated from nearby homes. Those who didn't leave were urged to keep their doors closed as chemical experts surveyed the site. The train went off the track in the early hours of Saturday morning not far from the town of Shellebelle. The ensuing fire caused the released of cyanide, a carcinogen that can be absorbed into the bloodstream.

This was the flight of the Boeing X-51A Waverider the company and the U.S. military says has made aviation history. The unmanned craft achieved the longest-ever hypersonic flight by a jet-fuelled plane. It hurtled along at five times the speed of sound for three and a half minutes. It covered 230 nautical miles in just over six minutes across the skies of California. The U.S. Air Force says the craft are intended to demonstrate the new technology, not as a prototype for new weapons systems. It was the last of four X-51A craft built by Boeing. The end of the dramatic journey was a little less than glorious - it was crashed into the Pacific Ocean in a controlled dive.

The funeral of the Indian prisoner who died after he was attacked in a Pakistani jail was held on Friday. The killing of Sarabjit Singh, convicted of spying for India, has unleashed a heated row between the two nations. And the dispute's taken a new twist with revelations by a doctor in India carrying out an autopsy on Singh's body. Doctor Guramjeet Rai says many of his internal organs were missing.

DOCTOR GURAMJEET RAI, DOCTOR WHO CONDUCTED AUTOPSY ON SARABJIT RAI, SAYING: "Stomach was not in the body. I am not saying missing, it was not present in the body at the time of the autopsy. Gall bladder, that is picked out, third one is heart and both the kidneys." On the very same day a Pakistani prisoner attacked in an apparently tit-for-tat assault in an Indian jail was moved to a hospital for specialist treatment. The man, known as Sanaullah, was jailed for life in 1999 for militant activities. Pakistan's high commissioner to India is condemning the attack.

SALMAN BASHIR, PAKISTAN'S HIGH COMMISSIONER TO INDIA, SAYING: "It is indeed deplorable that a Pakistani national who has been under detention in Jammu was subjected to a brutal assault and is reported to be in a very critical condition." About 200 Pakistani nationals are held in Indian jails. More than 500 Indian prisoners are serving time in Pakistan.
