Sigurd's eyes flashed, as he sprang up from his seat.
西格德從座位上跳起來，眼睛一亮。
"Tell me now, Regin!" he cried. "What is the deed I must do? You know that I am not afraid of cold or hunger or pain!"
叫道：“現(xiàn)在告訴我，雷金!我該怎么辦?你知道我不怕冷、不怕餓、不怕痛?！?/div>
"Sit down, Sigurd, and I will tell you," said Regin. "Many hundreds of years ago I built for my father a great castle, and in this castle my father gathered his treasure.
“坐下來，西格德，我告訴你，”雷金說?！皫装倌昵?，我為我的父親建造了一座巨大的城堡，我的父親把財(cái)富收集在一起放在這座城堡里。
I longed for my share of the gold, but my father would not give it to me.
我渴望得到我的那份金子，但我父親不肯給我。
"So I worked and waited, but I thought of the gold all day and dreamed of it all night.
“于是我等待著，但我整天想著金子，整夜夢(mèng)見它。
Then my father died, and I thought that at last I would have a share of the treasure;

but my brother drove me from the house, saying that the gold belonged to him.

"Years after that a terrible dragon seized the castle and the gold.
“多年以后，一條可怕的龍奪取了城堡和金子。
This dragon has killed so many men that no one will live in that land.
這條龍殺死了很多人，幾乎所有人都死光了。
But now you have come, O Sigurd, and I know you will kill the dragon and win the treasure.
但現(xiàn)在你來了，西格德，我知道你會(huì)殺死惡龍，奪回財(cái)產(chǎn)。
Many, many years have I waited for this day. Will you do this deed and win the praise of men?"
