As soon as Ivan began to pull on the rope, Lodo came quickly, because he hoped that Ivan would give him a little salt.

When everything was ready, Ivan jumped into his sled and put a warm reindeer skin about him.
一切準備妥當以后伊萬便跳進了雪橇里，蓋上了暖暖的馴鹿皮。
His father said, "Hold the rein just as I have told you and drive to the end of our pasture and back."
他父親說，像我跟你說的那樣，抓緊韁繩，駕到我們牧場的另一端，再折返回來。
Then he whistled to the reindeer; and at once Ivan was off, flying over the white snow.
接著他向馴鹿吹了吹口哨，伊萬馬上出發了，在白色的雪地上飛馳起來。
The sled went up and down over bumpy places, but Ivan was not afraid.
雪橇上下顛簸著行進在崎嶇不平的地方，但是伊萬不怕。
In a few minutes he was at the end of the pasture.

There he turned Lodo around, and very soon was home again.
然后他把羅多轉個頭，很快又回到了家。
What a fine, fast ride it had been!
這可真是一次又快又好的駕馭經歷啊！
"Well done, Ivan!" said his father.
父親說，伊萬做得好！
"You need not ride with your mother or me any more.
你不需要再和媽媽或我一起乘坐雪橇了。
From now on, you can always drive your own reindeer."
從現在開始，你可以駕馭自己的馴鹿了。
Oh! how happy Ivan was!
