First the boy helped his father and brothers take down the tent and pack it on the backs of some reindeer.

Then he helped his mother put reindeer skins and food into the sleds.

Soon the whole family was ready to start.

Ivan's father and older brothers walked with the reindeer.

They had some strong dogs which helped them to keep all the animals together.

For a whole week the family traveled.
一家人整整趕了一周的路。
Ivan was very happy driving his reindeer, but each night he was glad when he could stop to rest.

He helped his mother make a fire, over which she roasted some reindeer meat and heated reindeer milk.

Very soon after supper, the little boy wrapped himself in his warm reindeer skin, peeped out at the bright moon, and went to sleep.

The New Home And Pasture
新的家新的牧場
Ivan was very glad when he heard his father say one night at supper time, "Tomorrow we will find the new pasture and make a new home."
一天晚上吃晚飯的時候，父親說，明天我們就會找到新牧場，建個新的家了，聽到這個消息，伊萬非常高興。
And so they did. What a busy time it was, not only for the grown-up people but for Ivan also.
第二天的確是這樣，不過那可真是忙碌的一天，不僅僅大人們忙，伊萬也很忙。
