I explained to Winnie that it was more than likely we would have to live on her small salary. 我對溫妮說，我們很可能不得不靠她那微薄的收入維持生活。

此外，該句型實際上是個含有補語從句的復合句。Likely后面的從句是補充說明什么樣的可能性，說明其內容。
