一.jump：n. 跳躍，跳動，上漲 v. 跳越，暴漲
【詞義辨析】
jump, leap, spring, hop, bound, skip,
jump: 是普通用詞，指用雙腳向上跳，向下跳，或在同一平面上跳到有一定距離的某一點上，或跳過。
leap: ?？膳cjump換用，但側重身體猛力向上升起并朝前急沖的動作，有時含突然的意味。
spring: 更強調有力和彈跳的運動。
hop: 指單腳短跳或雙足猛力的動作。也指小鳥、青蛙等的跳。
bound: 多指向前向上或向下跳躍、奔跳。
skip: 指兩腳交替輕輕地跳或跨的動作。
【例句用法】
1.I couldn't understand his lecture because he kept jumping from one topic to the next.
我聽不懂他的演講，他總是從一項內容跳到另一項內容。
2.The gang jumped an old woman in the subway.
一伙歹徒在地下人行道突然襲擊一老婦人。
3.The loud bang made me jump.
砰的一聲巨響嚇了我一跳。
4.The horse jumped the fence.
那匹馬躍過了柵欄。
5.He jumped to his feet and ran out of the office.
他一下子跳了起來，跑出了辦公室。
6.The horse cleared all the jumps.

二.change：n. 變化，零錢 v. 改變
【詞語用法】
change作“改變”時，是指“換走”，不是指“換來”。表示將舊帽子換新，應說change the old cap(for a new one)。不說change a new cap；
change常以復數形式出現。
We have to change trains at York.
在一些表達方式里，change前面不加a/the，如a change of address，a change of name，a change of scene，a change of subject等；
change of air指“移地療養”，前面一般加a，也可不加；
change在指“零錢”或“找頭”時，作不可數名字，前面不加a；
change作動詞指“換上衣服”時，后通常接介詞into連用。
【錯句舉例與錯句分析】
錯句：Having taken off his clothes,he changed his new shirt.
糾正：Having taken off his clothes,he changed into his new shirt.
翻譯：他脫下衣服，換了套新的西裝。
分析：change作動詞指“換上衣服”時，后通常接介詞into連用。
【詞義辨析】
change, alter, vary, convert, modify, transform, turn,
change: 指任何變化，完全改變，強調與原先的情況有明顯的不同。
alter: 常指輕微的改變，強調基本上保持原物、原狀的情況下所進行的部分改變。
vary: 暗示不規則或斷斷續續地變。
convert: 指進行全部或局部改變以適應新的功能或用途。指信仰或態度時，強調較激烈、大的改變。
modify: 強調起限定作用的變化或變更。指細小的變化，常含“緩和、降調”的意味。
transform: 指人或物在形狀、外觀、形式、性質等方面發生的徹底變化，失去原狀成為全新的東西。
turn: 指外形、顏色、氣味、性質等方面的變化，比change更通俗。
【例句用法】
1.Can you change a five-pound note?
你能換開五英鎊的票子嗎？
2.Her expression changed when she heard the news.
她聽到這一消息時表情就變了。
3.In autumn the leaves change from green to brown.
秋天樹葉由綠色變成黃褐色。
4.How much have you got in change?
你有多少零錢？
5.If we are to avoid defeat we need a change of leadership.
我們要避免失敗的話，就要換掉領導人。
