二、Listen and Learn 內容透析
1. I wouldn't have taken him for a waver. 如果是我，我不認為他是在猶豫。take for: 認為。waver: n.揮動者，動搖，躊躇。
2. No guy in the history of the world has ever hated you. 到目前為止，從沒男人討厭過你。in the history of the world: 在世界歷史上。比如：America has the greatest military in the history of the world. 美國有著世界歷史上最優秀的軍隊。
3. I've waited my entire adolescent life for a date with this girl. 我已經等了整個青春的時光, 只為了和這個女生約會。entire: 全部的，整個的，全體的。entire vacation: 整個假期。adolescent: adj. 青春期的，青少年的；n. 青少年。
4. Come on, there's no such thing. 得了吧，沒這種說法。come on在這里表示的是一種責備，不耐煩的語氣。比如說：Come on, don’t sit there dreaming. 得啦，別坐在那兒空想了。
5. You only get one shot, with a girl like Serena. 對于像Serena這樣的女孩, 你的機會只有一次。Shot在這里指的是“機會”，get one shot就是“得到一個機會”。Get a shot還有一個意思是“注射”。比如：You need to get a shot. 你需要打一針。
6. Blew: blow(打擊，風吹)的過去式，在俚語中blow也有“錯過(有利機會)，放過(機會)”的意思。
7. What have you got to lose? 你有啥好損失的？當有人猶豫不決，始終做不了決定，你就可以使用這句話。
8. No, nothing except my last shred of dignity. 沒有，除了我那點可憐的自尊。shred: n.碎片，少量。shrewd：adj. 精明的；狡猾的；機靈的。dignity: 尊嚴。
