148.拒絕浪漫
When Louis thought that he had made an impression on Marissa, he was sure he could make a night of it.
當(dāng)路易斯認(rèn)為他已經(jīng)給瑪麗莎留下印象時(shí)，他肯定他可以歡鬧一夜了。
He called a limousine, made a hotel reservation and got ready for a night of love. It was just too bad that he was wrong.
他叫了一輛豪華車，預(yù)訂了旅館，準(zhǔn)備度過(guò)一個(gè)浪漫之夜。只可惜他打錯(cuò)了算盤。
Marissa thought he had made an ass of himself!
瑪麗莎認(rèn)為他出足了洋相！
The only reason Louis thought he had a chance with her
路易斯以為他有機(jī)會(huì)得手的唯一理由是，
was that she was polite enough to smile whenever Louis made a monkey of himself to make people laugh.
每當(dāng)他出丑取樂(lè)別人的時(shí)候，她總是溫文爾雅地笑一笑。
She had already made several attempts to leave, which Louis had not even noticed.
她幾次想離開，路易斯卻沒有發(fā)現(xiàn)。
Now he was going to make a mountain of a molehill and she would have to say no! It wasn't easy!
現(xiàn)在他準(zhǔn)備小題大做，而她得開口說(shuō)“不”！這事兒可沒那么容易！
When Louis made his final advances towards Marissa to spend the evening together Marissa tried to say no politely!
當(dāng)路易斯對(duì)瑪麗莎做最后的勾引，讓她和他一起過(guò)夜時(shí)，瑪麗莎試著婉言拒絕了！
Louis uied her to make an exception for him.
路易斯懇求她為他破例。
When she made a point of saying no very firmly, Louis started to make a mess of the whole evening.
她卻打定主意堅(jiān)決說(shuō)“不”，這時(shí)路易斯便開始把整個(gè)晚上弄得一團(tuán)糟。
He stood up at the table and began to make an exhibition of himself with his anger!
他從桌子旁站起來(lái)，開始當(dāng)眾出丑，發(fā)泄他的不滿！
He yelled that she had led him on, that she was using him for a free meal, and now she wouldn't "put out!"
他大叫是她引誘他,她在跟他蹭吃蹭喝，現(xiàn)在卻不愿“獻(xiàn)身”！
Then security was called in to escort him off the premises.
后來(lái)保安被叫來(lái)了，把他送出了旅館。
The hotel had long made a habit of removing troublemakers. How could they ever make a profit with such disruptions?
這家旅館經(jīng)常要攆走一些鬧事者。這么鬧哄哄的，他們?cè)趺茨苜嶅X？
When they threw him out the back door, Louis yelled that he was going to make an appointment with his lawyer and sue them!
從后門被趕出來(lái)的時(shí)候，路易斯嚷嚷他會(huì)約他的律師起訴他們！
They walked back in and he never called! He just went home alone!
他們回到旅館，他再也沒有打過(guò)電話來(lái)！他就那么一個(gè)人回家了！
