103.Lost on the Road
103.暈頭轉向
Things weren't going well for Harry!
哈里這段時間老是不順！
The previous day he had left work early to go home and go to sleep, forgetting to go through the proper channels to get directions for a certain delivery.
前一天他早早收工回家睡覺，結果忘了通過正當渠道接受指令去送一批貨。
Now he was on the road far from the office and lost!
現(xiàn)在他正在路上，遠離辦公室，而且迷路了！
He couldn't call his boss on the phone, however, because he would go through the roof!
可是他不能打電話給老板，因為他會暴跳如雷。
Maybe even fire Harry!
說不定還會炒了哈里的魷魚！
Harry didn't want to go through with the humiliation, so he decided instead to go up to a stranger and ask for help.
哈里可不想丟臉到底，所以他決定去找一個陌生人尋求幫助。
"Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to 1319 Saratoga Street?"
"對不起，您能告訴我薩拉托加街1319號怎么走嗎？ "
"Sure. Just go straight up to Down Avenue and take a left.
"當然。筆直走到唐大街,然后左拐。
Then go through three stoplights to Maryland Street. Turn right.
過三個紅綠燈到馬里蘭街。再往右。
Then you'll go under a bridge and go up a steep hill.
然后從一座橋下走過，上一座陡山。
Saratoga Street is on your left after that.
薩拉托加街就在你左邊。
Go down about a half-mile and you'll be there.
往下走大約半英里你就到了。
If you hit the railroad tracks you've gone too far. Got it?"
如果你走到了鐵路上，那你就走得太遠了。明白了嗎？"
Yeah. I think so." Harry replied.
是的，我想我弄明白了。"哈里回答說。
"It is a little complicated. I can go with you if you want, I'm heading that direction myself!"
"這路有點復雜。如果你愿意，我可以陪你一起去，我自己也要去那個方向！"
"No thanks. It's company policy not to let anyone else in the truck.
“謝謝您，不用了，公司規(guī)定不能讓任何人上我們的卡車。
And I might be in trouble already. Down Avenue left, Maryland right, Saratoga on the left!"
而且我可能已經(jīng)有麻煩了。唐大街左轉，馬里蘭右轉，薩拉托加在左邊！”
"Yep! Good luck!"
"沒錯！祝你好運！ "
Harry felt much better. He even felt as if things were going to go strong now!
哈里覺得好多了。他甚至覺得事情現(xiàn)在要順利進行了！
Who needed the proper channels, he thought, if he could improvise!
誰還要那些正當渠道，他想，如果他能臨時想到辦法！
He shouldn't have let things go to his head.
他真不該讓勝利沖昏了頭。
Harry missed the turn on Down Avenue, turned around to find it,
哈里在唐大街沒有找到拐彎的地方，他轉過來找，
and then went through a red light because he wasn't paying attention!
結果不小心闖了紅燈！
He got a ticket!
他得到了一張罰單！
Now what would the boss think?
這下老板會怎么想？
