102.吵吵鬧鬧的父母
"I just can't stand it anymore! I have to get out of this house-go on vacation or something!"
"我真的不能再忍受啦！我得離開這所房子一去度個假或者什么的！"
Dad was going on the rampage again. Whenever he went on a diet he would get that way.
父親又在暴跳如雷了。只要他開始節食，他就變成那樣。
Something about not eating the food he wanted made him a different person.
想吃的東西卻不能吃，這會使他整個兒變一個人。
"C'mon let's just go out for dinner and have a good meal," my mom said.
"好啦，我們出去吃飯，好好吃一頓吧。"母親說。
She always went out of her way for him. "The kids can make dinner for themselves. I just went shopping!"
她對他總是不厭其煩。"孩子們可以自己做飯。我剛去買過東西啦！"
But Dad didn't listen. He just went on and on! He was too fat!
可是父親卻不聽她的。他只是不停地抱怨！他太胖了！
Everyone could see that! But he didn't need to go on about it forever!
每個人都能看出來！但他沒有必要嘮叨個沒完！
When Mom finally told him to stop his yelling-that she couldn't go on with him like this much longer, he relented and agreed that they could go out on the town.
當母親終于讓他別再嚷嚷時——她不能與他繼續過這種日子了，他這才有所收斂，同意進城放松一下。
Whew! I was glad when they left! I immediately called up this boy that I was hoping to go out with.
耶!我真髙興他們走了！我趕緊給我希望一起出去的男孩打電話。
I was going to ask if I could go over for a visit when I was surprised to hear yelling in the background of his home as well when he picked up the phone.
我正準備問我是否可以去看他，卻吃驚地聽到他拿起電話的時候他家也有吵鬧聲。
"Yeah, my mom is going off at my dad about not finding a job!
"是的，我媽正罵我爸找不到工作！
He went out of business a couple months ago and it's tearing them apart!"
我爸幾個月前丟了飯碗，這事正讓他們鬧得不可開交哩！"
Yikes! Parents are yelling everywhere!
呀！到處都有父母在吵架！
I wasn't going over there either!
我也不準備登門拜訪了！
Well, anyhow, I could go on about parents fighting, but that's just the way it is sometimes.
不管怎樣，父母鬧得再兇我還是繼續我的生活，有時只能是這樣。
My mom and dad came home later that evening and everything was fine.
那天晚上爸媽回家時一切又恢復了正常。
My friend's dad also got a job the next week!
我朋友的爸爸也在接下來的那個星期里找到了工作！
