我和英語(yǔ)有個(gè)誤會(huì):You are on the ball
在英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中，中英兩種語(yǔ)言有些習(xí)語(yǔ)表達(dá)方式相同或相近。如：Time and tide wait for no men. （時(shí)不我待。）Like father, like son. （有其父，必有其子。）但有些習(xí)語(yǔ)，由于兩個(gè)民族的文化背景、風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣等的差異，如果從字面的意思翻譯，就會(huì)產(chǎn)生誤會(huì)，鬧出笑話。為了避免鬧笑話，我們一起來(lái)努力解開這些誤會(huì)吧：）

在一家老美餐館作Waiter，那天客人多，我很忙。一位老婦人等拿到她的菜順便對(duì)我說(shuō)了一句，“You are on the ball”我愣了一下。無(wú)以應(yīng)對(duì)。
