Electronic pagers belonging to members of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah exploded simultaneously on Tuesday afternoon, killing at least nine people and wounding around 2,800 across the Middle East nation. Many of the explosions rocked the southern suburbs of Beirut, the main Hezbollah stronghold.
當地時間17日下午，黎巴嫩看守政府召開部長會議期間，黎巴嫩首都貝魯特以及黎巴嫩東南部和東北部多地發生尋呼機爆炸事件。黎巴嫩公共衛生部長阿卜亞德稱，爆炸已造成9人死亡，約有2800人受傷，其中約200人傷情危重。
The US was "not involved" and was "not aware" of any attack in advance, according State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, who repeatedly referred to the matter as an "incident" not an "attack". Miller would not say what information the US has so far, and would not say whether the US assesses that Israel is responsible or not.
美國國務院發言人馬修·米勒在當地時間17日的簡報會上表示，美國正在收集有關黎巴嫩尋呼機爆炸事件的相關信息，并強調美國并沒有參與其中。米勒同時表示，美國沒有對誰可能是尋呼機爆炸事件的幕后黑手進行評估。
Hezbollah has long touted secrecy as a cornerstone of its military strategy, forgoing high-tech devices to avoid infiltration from Israeli and US spyware. Several areas of the country were affected, particularly Beirut’s southern suburbs, a populous area that is a Hezbollah stronghold.
據悉，黎巴嫩真主黨武裝人員近來較為普遍地使用尋呼機，以通過這種技術含量較低的通信設備避免以色列追蹤他們的位置。而這次發生尋呼機爆炸的地點主要集中在貝魯特南郊、黎巴嫩南部以及貝卡谷地等地，這些都被認為是黎巴嫩真主黨據點所在地。
Lebanese government officials and Hezbollah blamed Israel. "After examining all the facts, available data and information about the heinous attack that took place this afternoon, we hold the Israeli enemy fully responsible for this criminal aggression" , Hezbollah said in a statement.
黎真主黨在核實現有信息后認為，以色列應對黎巴嫩全國多地發生的一系列尋呼機爆炸事件負全責。另有媒體援引匿名黎真主黨官員的話報道稱，爆炸事件是該組織在與以色列近一年的沖突中遭遇的“最大安全漏洞”。
Prime Minister Najib Mikati said in a cabinet meeting on Tuesday that the attack represents "criminal Israeli aggression, which constitutes a serious violation of Lebanese sovereignty and a crime by all standards", according to the state-run NNA news outlet. Lebanon’s foreign ministry condemned what it called an "Israeli cyber attack", adding that it would submit a complaint about the detonations to the U.N. Security Council.
爆炸發生后，黎巴嫩看守政府部長會議發表集體聲明，“譴責以色列的侵略行徑”，強調以方行為“嚴重侵犯了黎巴嫩主權，構成犯罪”。此外，黎巴嫩外交部表示，黎巴嫩政府已準備針對爆炸事件向聯合國安理會提交訴訟。
Iran’s ambassador to Beirut was one of those injured, according to Iranian state media. In a post on X, it described his injuries as "superficial" and added that he was in a good condition.
另據伊朗官方媒體伊通社報道稱，伊朗駐黎巴嫩大使因爆炸事件受輕傷，目前狀況良好。
