Aung San Suu Kyi is the chairperson of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in Burma. She is a politician who advocates non-violence and democracy, receiving the Rafto Prize and the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990, as well as the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991.
昂山素季，緬甸全國民主聯盟總書記，是緬甸非暴力提倡民主的政治家，1990年獲得薩哈羅夫獎和拉托夫托紀念獎，翌年獲得諾貝爾和平獎。
She is now the most popular and influential Burmese, also affectionately known as "the Lady." She charms the crowds with her poise, grace and her traditional, colorful anyi (blouse) and longyi (sarong or skirt). She now has even become a fashion trend-setter among younger generations, reversing a shift toward Western-style clothes.
現在，昂山素季是緬甸最受擁護、最有影響力的人，人們都以“夫人”來尊稱她。昂山素季的時尚魅力在于她的淡定從容和素雅的緬甸傳統服裝。她掀起了一股可以抗衡歐美風的時尚潮流，已然成為緬甸年輕一代的時尚偶像。
