Akio Toyoda 豐田章男
豐田公司總裁豐田章男出席了美國的聽證會，就汽車安全問題接受了美國議員的質詢。他在聽證會上向消費者道歉。他說道：
I regret that this has resulted in the safety issues described in the recalls we face today, and I am deeply sorry for any accidents that Toyota drivers have experienced.
我很抱歉這導致了我們今天面對的召回中的安全問題，我對豐田的車主們遭遇過的任何事故感到由衷的抱歉。
In the past few months our customers have started to be unsure about the safety of Toyota vehicles, and I take full responsibility for that.
在過去幾個月里，消費者開始懷疑豐田汽車的安全性，對此我承擔全部的責任。
豐田章男已于3月1日來到北京向中國消費者道歉，他說：
I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the worries that we have caused to the people around the world, including China, for the recent recalls. I'm very sorry.
我發自內心的為我們給包括中國在內的全球消費者帶來的擔憂表示道歉，為我們最近的召回事件表示道歉。真的對不起。
恐怕豐田在開始召回第一輛車的時候也沒有想到事情會落到今天這個局面。這次的召回加上之前傳出的內部文件對豐田這個品牌絕對算得上是個重大的打擊。做品牌和做企業，誠信總是最重要的。
