Calm after the storm in Shanghai
臺風(fēng)過后上海恢復(fù)平靜
Shanghai authorities have lifted the orange alert now that Chan-hom has passed. Land, air and water transportation have resumed. Airlines are now arranging alternative flights for stranded passengers.
The typhoon swept through the coastal city yesterday, bringing torrential rains and lashing winds with speeds of up to 200 kilometers an hour, and forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights along with a number of public events.
