根據前面的分析，我們可以看出來，狄更斯評價社會、褒貶人物的出發點是資產階級人道主義。凡是符合人道主義的，他就愛；凡是不符合的，他就憎。所以可以將《雙城記》中的人物分為兩類：貴族和貧民。每一類都有正面人物，也都有反面人物。
