The Chinese embassy in Seoul has conveyed protest and strong dissatisfaction to South Korea over the shooting death of a Chinese fisherman by a South Korean Coast Guard officer.
中國駐韓國大使館就韓國海警射殺一名中國漁民導致其死亡表示抗議和強烈不滿。
The embassy asked the South Korean side to investigate the case seriously and thoroughly, and to protect the legal rights of Chinese fishermen. It also urged actions to ensure no repeat of similar incidents.
使館要求韓方嚴肅徹底調查此案，保障中國漁民合法權益，堅決杜絕類似事件再次發生。
The South Korean Coast Guard officer shot the fisherman with a rubber bullet while trying to arrest him during a raid. South Korean authorities say the 44-year-old man died from injuries in a nearby hospital.
韓國海警在突襲中試圖逮捕這名中國漁民動用橡皮彈射殺，韓國當局稱這名44歲的男子在附近一家醫院因傷勢過重死亡。
The South Korean side says they will completely investigate the accident and properly deal with the aftermath according to law.
韓方表示將徹底調查事件，依法處理善后事宜。
