A big, lumpy package bounced off Neville's head and, a second later, something large and gray fellinto Hermione's jug, spraying them all with milk and feathers.
一個(gè)鼓鼓囊囊的大包裹掉到納威的頭上，緊接著，又有一個(gè)灰乎乎的大家伙掉進(jìn)了赫敏的壺里。頓時(shí)，牛奶和羽毛濺了他們一身。
“Errol !” said Ron, pulling the bedraggled owl out by the feet.
“埃羅爾！”羅恩喊道，提著爪子把那只濕漉漉的貓頭鷹拉了出來(lái)。
Errol slumped, unconscious, onto the table, his legs in the air and a damp red envelope in his beak.
埃羅爾昏癱在桌上，兩條腿伸在空中，嘴里還叼著一只打濕了的紅信封。
“Oh, no —” Ron gasped.
“哦，不—”羅恩失聲叫道。
“It's all right, he's still alive,” said Hermione, prodding Errol gently with the tip of herfinger.

“It's not that—it's that.”

Ron was pointing at the red envelope.
羅恩指著紅信封。
It looked quite ordinary to Harry, but Ron and Neville were both looking at it as though they expectedit to explode.
那信封在哈利看來(lái)很平常，可是羅恩和納威卻好像覺得它會(huì)爆炸似的。
“What's the matter?” said Harry.
“怎么啦？”哈利問道。
“She's — she's sent me a Howler,” said Ron faintly.
“她—媽媽給我寄了一封吼叫信?！绷_恩有氣無(wú)力地說(shuō)。
“You'd better open it, Ron,” said Neville in a timid whisper.
“你最好打開它，羅恩，”納威害羞地小聲說(shuō)，
“It'll be worse if you don't. My gran sent me one once, and I ignored it and”—he gulped—“itwas horrible.”
“不打開更糟糕。奶奶給我寄過一回，我沒理它，結(jié)果—”他吸了口氣，“太可怕了?！?/div>
