The next day, however, Harry barely grinned once.
可是第二天，哈利幾乎一天都沒露過笑容。
Things started to go downhill from breakfast in the Great Hall.
從早晨在大禮堂吃早飯起，境況就開始走下坡路了。
The four long House tables were laden with tureens of porridge, plates of kippers, mountains of toast,and dishes of eggs and bacon, beneath the enchanted ceiling.
在施了魔法的天花板下，四個學院的長桌子上擺著一碗碗的粥、一盤盤的腌鯡魚、堆成小山的面包片和一碟碟雞蛋和咸肉。
Harry and Ron sat down at the Gryffindor table next to Hermione, who had her copy of Voyages withVampires propped open against a milk jug.
哈利和羅恩在格蘭芬多的桌子前坐下，旁邊是赫敏，她的《與吸血鬼同船旅行》攤開擱在一個牛奶壺上。
There was a slight stiffness in the way she said “ Morning,” which told Harry that she was stilldisapproving of the way they had arrived.

Neville Longbottom, on the other hand, greeted them cheerfully.

Neville was a round-faced and accident-prone boy with the worst memory of anyone Harry had ever met.

“Mail’s due any minute—I think Gran’s sending a few things I forgot.”

Harry had only just started his porridge when, sure enough, there was a rushing sound overhead anda hundred or so owls streamed in, circling the hall and dropping letters and packages into thechattering crowd.
哈利剛開始喝粥，果然聽見頭頂上亂哄哄的。上百只貓頭鷹擁了進來，在禮堂中盤旋，把信和包裹丟到正在交談的人群中。
