in front of 在……前面

eg. Waiting her chance, the girl nipped in front of an old woman.
瞅準機會，那個女孩很快插在了老太太的前面。

eg. She spent hours in front of the mirror, combing through her long hair.
她在鏡子前花費好幾個鐘頭梳理她的長發。

in the front of 在……前面

eg. He sat in the front of the classroom.
他坐在教室的前面。（在教室里面）

eg. The girl is standing at/in the front of the bus.
這個女孩站在公共汽車的前部。(在車內)

兩者區別：

“in front of”指“在某物體外部的前面”，即在某參照物的外面。

eg. There is a flower bed in front of our classroom.
我們教室前有一個花壇。（花壇在教室的外部）

而“in the front of”指“某物體內部的前面”，即在某參照物的里面。

eg. There is a computer in the front of our classroom.
我們教師前面有一臺電腦。
