As American TikTok users brace for a potential ban, many have flocked to RedNote in search of a new social media home—and unexpectedly, they've found common ground with Chinese on a great many things including a shared fascination with Luigi Mangione.

Overall, the Chinese users are welcoming to the Americans, posting videos with titles like "Hello from your New Chinese spy." But they have one demand. "Americans, show me your cat." The origin of this request is uncertain, and it's not entirely clear why they want to see our feline friends, but the so-called "cat tax" has become a ubiquitous refrain in the comments, and so far, Americans have complied.

One person even seized the opportunity presented by the influx of American netizens to ask for help with their English homework in a viral post that garnered over 2,000 likes.

Some are teaching bite-sized lessons in hànzì-English shorthand, while others spin elocution lessons for their curious American counterparts.

美國TikTok用戶們正在為可能生效的禁令做準備。很多人涌進了小紅書，希望尋找到新的社交媒體家園。他們意外地發(fā)現(xiàn)與中國用戶在許多事物上有著共同點，比如都對路易吉·曼吉奧內(nèi)很著迷。

總體而言，中國用戶對新來的美國朋友們表示歡迎。他們發(fā)布了一些視頻帖子，有的標題諸如“來自中國新間諜的問候”。只不過，他們提出了一個要求：“美國人，讓我們看看你的貓。”雖然這個要求的由來并不清楚，也不知道為什么他們特別想看看我們的貓咪伙伴，但是這個所謂的“貓稅”已經(jīng)遍布評論區(qū)，被瘋狂刷屏，而美國網(wǎng)友們也都乖乖遵守了。

中國網(wǎng)友中更有甚者，抓住美國用戶大批涌入的時機，讓他們幫忙做英語作業(yè)。相關(guān)帖子迅速傳播，收獲了2000多個贊。

有些人開始教授短小精悍的網(wǎng)絡(luò)縮寫用語，還有人為這些好奇的美國朋友們編了一些發(fā)音課程。
