1. Acknowledge the Difficulty: 正視難度
Recognize that the topic may be challenging, which can help create openness and build trust: 先承認話題的挑戰性,有助于建立開放坦誠的氣氛和信任。
例子: “I know this might be a tough conversation, but I believe it’s necessary for us to address it.”:我知道這次對話會很難,但我覺得有必要來討論這個問題。
2. Be Direct and Clear: 直接、清晰
Approach the topic directly, without being vague, to set a clear expectation for the conversation: 開門見山進入主題,不要含糊其辭,以此來建立清晰的預期。
例子: “There’s no easy way to put this, but I think we need to talk about it.”: 沒有更容易的方法,但我覺得我們需要聊聊。
3. Choose the Right Time and Place: 選擇恰當的時間和地點
Ensure the setting is private and the timing is right, avoiding moments when either party is stressed or distracted: 確保談話環境私密、選擇恰當的時機,避免在雙方中各一方壓力大、注意力無法集中的時候。
例子: “When you have a moment, I’d like to talk about something important. Can we find a quiet place?” 你方便的時候,我想跟你聊一件重要的事情。我們能找個安靜的地方嗎?
4. Ask for Permission: 征得同意
Ask for permission and invite the other person into the conversation can make them feel respected and more open to dialogue: 通過征得同意來邀請對方進入交談,能幫助對方覺得被尊重、以更開放的態度來交流。
例子: “Would it be okay if we talk about something important? I want to hear your thoughts.” 我們能聊一件重要的事情嗎?我想聽聽你的想法。
5. Express Empathy and Understanding: 表達同理心和體諒
Show empathy for the other person’s perspective and acknowledge that the conversation may be uncomfortable:對另一方的觀點表示同理心和理解,并坦誠說明談話可能會讓對方感到不舒服。
例子: “I understand this might be a difficult topic, and I appreciate your willingness to discuss it with me.“ “我知道這是個困難的話題,所以很感謝你愿意和我討論。
6. Start with a Shared Goal: 以共同的目標開始
Emphasize a mutual goal or shared interest to create common ground: 強調你們同有的目標、共同的利益,創造共同的立場。

7. Be Honest and Transparent: 坦誠、透明

8. Ask for the other Person's Opinion: 詢問對方的意見
Encourage dialogue by inviting the other person to share their perspective: 邀請對方分享自己的觀點來鼓勵對話。
例子:“How do you feel about our recent interactions? I’d like to hear your thoughts.” 你覺得我們最近的互動怎么樣?我想聽聽你的意見。
9. Set a Positive Tone: 建立積極的基調
Frame the conversation as an opportunity for growth and understanding, focusing on positive outcomes:將對話定義為成長和理解的機會,為積極的溝通結果努力。
例子: “I hope after we talk about this we can find a way to move forward together.”我希望在今天對話之后,我們能找到共同前進的方式。
