Father: It seems like you are in love with Jim.
父親：看起來(lái)你好像愛(ài)上吉姆了。
Lily: That's not true. We've only just been dating, nothing more．
莉莉：不是的。我們只是約會(huì)而已，沒(méi)別的。
Father: But I heard he's head over heels in love with you.
父親：但我聽(tīng)說(shuō)他可是全身心地愛(ài)上你了。
Lily: Maybe he is, but that's just him. I can't fall in love with someone in such a short time.
莉莉：也許吧，但那只是他的事，我可不會(huì)在這么短的時(shí)間里就愛(ài)上一個(gè)人！
Father: You don't believe in love at first sight?
父親：你不相信一見(jiàn)鐘情嗎？
Lily: Is that what happened with you and mom?
莉莉：你和媽媽是那樣的嗎？
Father: Absolutely. The first time I saw her, I knew she'd be my wife．

Lily: You are such a romantic.

Father: It's useless to be reasonable in love.

Lily: So mom was the girl of your dreams?
莉莉：那媽媽就是你的夢(mèng)中情人啦？
Father: She still is.
父親：她現(xiàn)在也是。
Lily: How does mom feel about you?
莉莉：那媽媽對(duì)你的感覺(jué)如何呢？
Father: You'll have to ask her that question.
