“after one's own heart”是何意
“after one's own heart”這一短語來源于《圣經撤母耳記上》：
"But now thy kingdom shall not continue. The Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.”（現在你的王位并不長久。耶和華已經尋著一個合他心意的人，讓他做百姓的君，因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的）。
不難看出，它是一個形容詞短語，多置于名詞之后作后置修飾語。在漢語中大致可以翻譯為“符合自己心意的，滿意的，情投意合的，正中下懷的”等。例如：
We both like football; he is a man after my own heart.
我們兩人都喜歡足球；他是我情投意合的好朋友。
和漢語一樣，英語中也存在著很多包括“heart”的短語，并且在日常生活中的使用頻率也很高，如：
lose heart（喪失信心）
lose one's heart to somebody/something（喜歡上某人或某物）
leam by heart（用心記住）
heart of gold（美好的心靈）
break one's heart（傷某人的心）
