二、翻譯單項技巧練習 —— 反譯
由于漢英思維方式的不同，英漢語言的表達習慣也不盡相同。口譯中，有時正譯難以措辭或 者效果欠佳。這種情況下，一般要反其道而譯之， 在詞義、句式、肯定與否定、主動與被 動、先后順序等方面采用正反變通方法來處理。這就是反譯。某些特定的詞匯和句式采用反 譯法語言更生動流暢， 更能表達原意。

1、例句英譯漢：
It has given us not a little trouble 這給我們帶來很多麻煩。
He is no other than the professional talent we are looking for. 他正是我們要物色的專業人才。
You couldn't turn on television without seeing a woman advertising for some cosmetics. 你一開電視準會看到一個女人在作某化妝品廣告。
More tests should be conducted before we can come to a conclusion. 我們需要做更多的實驗，然后才能得出結論。
She sat there, her chin cupped in her hands. 她坐在那里，雙手托著下巴。

漢譯英：
若不努力就會失敗。You will fail unless you work hard.
這是我們最不愿意看到的事情。This is the last thing we wish to see.
您先請。After you please.
他總是十二點以后才睡覺。He never went to bed before 12 o'clock.
好幾次她都想告訴他事情的真相，但是她沒有勇氣。Several times she wanted to tell him what had happened, but her courage failed her.

1.短句轉化為詞組
進入新世紀，經濟全球化不斷發展，科學技術突飛猛進，為全球經濟和社會發展提供了前所未有的物質技術條件。
In the new century, the ongoing economic globalization and rapid advancements of science and technology have created unprecedented material and technological conditions for global economic and social development. （短句轉化為名詞詞組做主語）

如何縮小直至消除數字鴻溝，是建設信息社會過程中繼續解決的重大問題。
Narrowing and ultimately eliminating the “digital divide” is a major issue to be addressed in the process of building the information society. （短句轉化為動名詞短語做主語）

開好籌備會，使峰會取得成功的重要保證。
A fruitful preparatory meeting is essential to / guarantees the success of the summit.

2.合并
信息化為人類提供了難得的數字機遇，同時也給我們帶來了各種挑戰。
Informatization presents valuable “digital opportunities” as well as various challenges to us.（后句與前句合并，并轉化為賓語）

3.詞性轉化

副詞轉化為介詞短語

世界各國都在積極采取措施，大力發展信息通信技術和信息產業，努力推進國家信息化進程。

4.拆分
