一、數(shù)字的譯法

英語和漢語對數(shù)字的表達(dá)法在千位數(shù)以下基本相同，但超過萬的數(shù)字，無論從英語譯到漢語， 還是從漢語譯到英語，都常常會碰到麻煩。因此，在口譯中，要特別注意英漢兩種語言數(shù)字表達(dá)的差異。掌握數(shù)詞口譯的基本技巧，首先要熟悉英語數(shù)詞的基本讀法，讀得要準(zhǔn)要快。同時，還要善 于發(fā)現(xiàn)規(guī)律，找竅門。

漢語：數(shù)字是以“十”的倍數(shù)來表達(dá)。

英語：
1) 數(shù)字超過千以后，以“千”的倍數(shù)來表達(dá)。 如：一萬是“十千”(ten thousand)，十萬是“百千”(hundred thousand)。
2) 數(shù)字超過百萬(million)以后，則用“百萬”的倍數(shù)來表達(dá)。 如：千萬是“十百 萬”(ten million)， 億是“百百萬”(hundred million)。
3)數(shù)字超過十億(billion)以后，則用“十億”的倍數(shù)來表達(dá)。如：百億是“十十億”(ten billion)，千億是“百十億”(hundred billion)。
4)萬億trillion

1、 目的：口譯中遇到數(shù)字，能進(jìn)行中英文熟練轉(zhuǎn)換。
2、 方法：
1）聽數(shù)字，即筆記
ten thousand 10th 或 10’
hundred thousand 100th
one million 1m或 1’’
ten million 10m
one hundred million 100 m
one billion 1b或 1’’’
ten billion 10b
one hundred billion 100 b
one trillion 1tr或 1’’’’
2）如果預(yù)先知道某次會議會出現(xiàn)一系列數(shù)字，也可以畫表如下，聽到數(shù)字時，迅速填入表內(nèi)。
3、 要求：記下數(shù)字本身、數(shù)字的單位及數(shù)字所修飾的詞 例如：17萬公里的公路
4、 示范：上海世博會 “中國北京國際科技產(chǎn)業(yè)博覽會”簡介

四、翻譯技巧

1、 省略

世博會將為1.3億中國人民打開交接世界的窗戶，也會為外國人了解中國歷史和文化成就提供機(jī)會。
World Expo will open a window to the 1.3 billion Chinese people to see the outside world as well as on opportunity for foreigners to learn about Chinese history, culture and achievements.

2、 詞性轉(zhuǎn)換

動詞詞組轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞詞組

世博會占地2260公頃，將成為重環(huán)保、服務(wù)設(shè)施完善、旅游資源豐富的都市區(qū)域。
Covering an area of 2260 hectares, the site will be developed into an environmental friendly district with flourishing service and tourism industries.
