二、口譯技巧

1. 形容詞轉化為副詞

We have a long-term commitment to both desire excellence and the effective and creative use of technologies.
長期以來我們追求精良的設計和有效地、創造性地利用新技術。（committed to口譯時采用形容詞轉化為動詞的技巧； use 采用名詞轉化為動詞的技巧）

2.增詞

This does not mean that science and engineering are all we publish, but it does mean we are committed to the edges and frontiers of the world – to exploring new fields and new modes of inquiry.
這并非指我們只出版科學工程類圖書，它指的是我們專注于介紹前沿學科，即開拓新的領域和新的探索方式。（committed to口譯時采用形容詞轉化為動詞的技巧）

3.邏輯關系轉化

主從邏輯關系轉化（定語從句轉化為主句）

One of the independent Press’s first new employees was graphic innovator Muriel Cooper, who designed our distinctive logo and set the course for the design innovation that have been a hallmark of the Press’s work to the present day.
最早的雇員之一，書畫刻印藝術的革新者庫柏設計了我們獨特的社標，并確立了創新的方針，時至今日，設計創新一直是我社工作的特點。

4.抽象名詞具體化

We have continued to look for the most efficient means to serve our readership.
