This Boy Wants to Help Save the Earth One Park at a Time

AJ Retaleato is a 6-year-old on a mission: He is spending his summer picking up litter in the parks and schoolyards in his neighborhood.
6歲的AJ Retaleato有一項(xiàng)使命：他整個(gè)夏天都在附近的公園和校園里撿拾垃圾。
“He woke up one morning and said, ‘I want to clean the park. I feel bad for the earth,’ ” says AJ’s father, Anthony, 56.

Using buckets and gloves, the father and son have already cleaned up nine parks and schools—and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

AJ’s town recently honored his work with a special citation.

“My wife and I are speechless,” says Anthony.

AJ’s favorite part? “I don’t want kids getting hurt on broken glass,” he says.

“And I like how clean it looks when I’m done.”
