Harry returned to the Gryffindor common room one evening after training,
一天晚上，哈利在訓練以后回到格蘭芬多院的休息室，
cold and stiff but pleased with the way practice had gone, to find the room buzzing excitedly.
感到又冷又僵，但是對練習的情況還是很滿意的，他發現休息室里的人們嗡嗡地談論著什么，都很興奮。
'What's happened?' he asked Ron and Hermione, who were sitting in two of the best chairs by the fireside and completing some star charts for Astronomy.
“發生了什么事？”他問羅恩和赫敏，這兩個人坐在壁爐旁邊最好的兩個座位上，正在比較天文學課上的幾張星象圖。
'First Hogsmeade weekend,' said Ron, pointing at a notice that had appeared on the battered old noticeboard. 'End of October. Hallowe'en.'
“第一個霍格莫德周末，”羅恩指著舊布告板上的一張通知說，“十月底。萬圣節前夕?！?/div>
'Excellent,' said Fred, who had followed Harry through the portrait hole.
“太棒了，”弗雷德說，他是跟著哈利走到肖像畫上的洞里的，
'I need to visit Zonko's, I'm nearly out of Stink Pellets.'
“我必須到佐科店去一下，我的臭彈快沒了?！?/div>
Harry threw himself into a chair beside Ron, his high spirits ebbing away.
哈利一屁股坐到羅恩旁邊的一張椅子上，他亢奮的情緒漸漸消沉下去了。
Hermione seemed to read his mind.
赫敏似乎看穿了他的心思。
'Harry, I'm sure you'll be able to go next time,' she said.
“哈利，我敢說你下一次就能去了。”她說，
'They're bound to catch Black soon, he's been sighted once already.'
“他們肯定很快就會抓住布萊克的，人家已經有一次看見他在什么地方了。”
'Black's not fool enough to try anything in Hogsmeade,' said Ron.
“布萊克不會笨到那樣，不會妄想在霍格莫德干什么事的?！绷_恩說，
'Ask McGonagall if you can go this time, Harry, the next one might not be for ages —'
“問問麥格這次你能不能去，哈利，下一次還不知道要等到什么時候——”
'Ron!' said Hermione. 'Harry's supposed to stay in school —'
“羅恩！”赫敏說，“哈利是應該待在學校里的——”
'He can't be the only third-year left behind,' said Ron. 'Ask McGonagall, go on, Harry —'
“他不能是惟一留校的三年級學生，”羅恩說，“去問問麥格，去呀，哈利——”
'Yeah, I think I will,' said Harry, making up his mind.
“對，我想我會去問的?！惫露Q心說。
Hermione opened her mouth to argue, but at that moment Crookshanks leapt lightly onto her lap.
赫敏開口想說什么，但這時克魯克山輕快地跳到她的膝上，
A large, dead spider was dangling from his mouth.
嘴里叼著一只很大的死蜘蛛。
'Does he have to eat that in front of us?' said Ron, scowling.
“它一定要在我們面前吃東西嗎？”羅恩咆哮道。
