CHAPTER 21 Last Day
第二十一章 最后一天
Charlotte and Wilbur were alone.
夏洛和威爾伯單獨待著。
The families had gone to look for Fern.
那兩家人去找弗恩了。
Templeton was asleep.
坦普爾頓在睡大覺。
Wilbur lay resting after the excitement and strain of the ceremony.
威爾伯躺在那里，經過頒獎典禮上興奮了一通，緊張了一番以后，正在休息。
His medal still hung from his neck;
它的獎章仍舊掛在脖子上；
by looking out of the corner of his eye he could see it.
用眼角它能看到它。
"Charlotte," said Wilbur after a while, "why are you so quiet?"
“夏洛，”過了一會兒，威爾伯說，“你為什么這樣安靜啊？”
"I like to sit still," she said. "I've always been rather quiet."
“我喜歡一動不動地坐著，”它說，“我一向就是十分安靜的。”
"Yes, but you seem specially so today. Do you feel all right?"
“對，不過你今天好象特別安靜。你沒事吧？”
"A little tired, perhaps. But I feel peaceful.
“也許有點累。不過我覺得很平靜。
Your success in the ring this morning was, to a small degree, my success.
你今天上午在圓圍欄里的成功，在很小的程度上也是我的成功。
Your future is assured. You will live, secure and safe, Wilbur.
你的未來有保證了。你會活下去，安然無恙，威爾伯。
Nothing can harm you now.
現在沒有什么能傷害你了。
These autumn days will shorten and grow cold.
秋天的白晝要變短，天氣要變冷。
The leaves will shake loose from the trees and fall.
樹葉要從樹上飄落。
Christmas will come, then the snows of winter.
圣誕節于是到了，接下來就下冬雪。
You will live to enjoy the beauty of the frozen world,
你將活下來欣賞冰天雪地的美景，
for you mean a great deal to Zuckerman and he will not harm you, ever.

Winter will pass, the days will lengthen, the ice will melt in the pasture pond.
冬天會過去，白晝又變長，牧場池塘的冰要融化。
The song sparrow will return and sing,
歌雀將回來唱歌，
the frogs will awake, the warm wind will blow again.
青蛙將醒來，和暖的風又會吹起。
All these sights and sounds and smells will be yours to enjoy, Wilbur
