CHAPTER 16 Off to the Fair
第十六章 上集市去
The night before the County Fair,
上縣里集市去的前夜，
everybody went to bed early.
大家都早早休息了。
Fern and Avery were in bed by eight.
弗恩和艾弗里八點鐘就上床。
Avery lay dreaming that the Ferris wheel had stopped
艾弗里做了個夢，夢到費里斯轉輪一下子停了，
and that he was in the top car.
他正坐在轉輪最頂上的一個廂子里。
Fern lay dreaming that she was getting sick in the swings.
弗恩也做了夢，夢到自己在高空的秋千上作嘔。
Lurvy was in bed by eight-thirty.

He lay dreaming that he was throwing baseballs at a cloth cat

and winning a genuine Navajo blanket.

Mr. and Mrs. Zuckerman were in bed by nine.
朱克曼先生和太太九點上床。
Mrs. Zuckerman lay dreaming about a deep freeze unit.
朱克曼太太夢到深凍冰箱。
Mr. Zuckerman lay dreaming about Wilbur.
朱克曼先生夢到威爾伯。
He dreamt that Wilbur had grown until he was one hundred and sixteen feet long
他夢到威爾伯已經長到一百一十六尺長、
and ninety-two feet high
九十二英尺高，
and that he had won all the prizes at the Fair
贏得了集市上所有的獎項，
and was covered with blue ribbons
身上批著深藍色綢帶，
and even had a blue ribbon tied to the end of his tail.
