Peking University continues to dominate the rankings of mainland Chinese universities, according to a recent survey by a British education company.

The school ranked No. 7 on the Quacquarelli Symonds' ranking of the top 300 universities in Asia. The National University of Singapore was ranked the best in Asia, then followed by University of Hong Kong and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Tsinghua University came in as the eleventh best school in Asia, moving up three notches from the previous year.
北大排在了QS亞洲前300所高校中的第七位。新加坡國立大學排在了亞洲首位，第二名是香港大學以及韓國科學技術學院。清華排在了第11位，比去年增長了3個排位。
Some mainland academics commented on the report saying the survey's reputation criterion, which accounts for 30 percent of the total score, was too subjective.

Zhang Yan, the head of QS' office in China, said the perception of the institution's reputation is factored in to prevent artificial weighting in the publication of scholarly research. The papers-per-faculty ratio is worth 15 percent of the university's score.
