So Dark 太黑了
After supper, the parents were busy playing mah-jong with the guests. At this point the mother thought of something and said to her son who was watching TV
晚飯后，父親和母親都忙著和客人玩麻將，這時(shí)母親忽然想起點(diǎn)兒事來(lái)，便對(duì)正在看電視的兒子說(shuō)道:
"Honey, go see if the kitchen light is on or not?" After a while, her son returned and said, "Ma, the kitchen is so dark that I cannot see it at all."
“寶貝，去看看廚房里的燈是不是還開著呢？” 過了一會(huì)兒，兒子回來(lái)說(shuō)：“媽，廚房里太黑了，我根本就看不見?！?/p>

還有一個(gè)不分早中晚餐的飯:meal
the morning meal == breakfast
the mid-day meal == lunch
the evening meal == supper
the main meal of the day == dinner

教我如何打麻將。
其實(shí)還有很多這類型的單詞，是根據(jù)中文發(fā)音來(lái)的，比如豆腐-tofu，功夫-kungfu。
3.so dark that I cannot see it at all
so... that...句型中的so是副詞?常常用來(lái)修飾形容詞或副詞?意思是“如此/這么??以致于??”
常用句型為?主語(yǔ)+謂語(yǔ)+so+adj/adv+ that從句。
The boy ran so fast that I couldn't catch him.
男孩跑得太快以致于我抓不到他。
