The notorious cheap skate finally decided to have a party, explaining to a friend how to find his apartment, he said,

1.notorious

adj.臭名昭著的；臭名遠揚的；聲名狼藉的；惡名昭著

eg:The country is notorious for its appalling prison conditions.

這個國家因監獄狀況惡劣而臭名遠揚。

2.explain to

explain可以用作及物動詞，也可用作不及物動詞。及物動詞的用法為 explain to sb sth 或 explain sth to sb。即它不能直接跟雙賓語，在表人的間接賓語前，總有一個介詞to。

eg:Could you explain to me what that means?

3.elbow
