2. have to 必須，不得不
【拓展】比較have to和must
兩詞都是“必須”的意思，have to 表示客觀的需要， must 表示說話人主觀上的看法，既主觀上的必要。
My brother was very ill, so I had to call the doctor in the middle of the night.
我弟弟病得很厲害，我只得半夜里把醫生請來。(客觀上需要做這件事)
He said that they must work hard.
他說他們必須努力工作。（主觀上要做這件事）
3. hang on to保留(某物)
I should hang on to those old ` photographs they may be valuable.
我要保存那些舊照片，它們可能很有價值。
4. feed the meter 此處的meter指“計時器，計量器”，feed表示“付費給”，為計算停車的計時器付錢”，也就是“付停車費”的意思。
5. damn adv.非常。此處它是用來修飾happy的程度副詞，常用語口語中。
We got out of there pretty damn fast.
我們很快就離開了那個地方。
