At these words the Danes shouted and cheered in their love for this brave hero.

Never had men heard such a story as this which Beowulf told.

Then Hrothgar commanded that a feast be prepared.

Beowulf sat at the king's right hand, and all were happy.

Now everyone could enter the beautiful hall without fear.

Beowulf's work in the land of the Danes was now done, and he was eager to return home.
貝奧武夫在丹麥的任務(wù)經(jīng)完成,他盼望回到家鄉(xiāng)。
Calling his warriors, he went with them to the king to say farewell, and to thank him for the rich gifts he had given them.
他叫來了他的勇士一起去見國王,向國王告別,并感謝國王送給他們豐厚的禮物。
"If ever again I can help you, my lord, I will come to you with joy," said Beowulf.
貝奧武夫說:“親愛的國王,如果有需要我的地方,我會(huì)很開心幫助你們。”
The old king thanked Beowulf and gave him more beautiful gifts than before.
年邁的國王向貝奧武夫表示了感謝,并送上比之前更好的禮物。
