1.Because of your wife.

短語點撥：because of是因為的意思，它后面接名詞或名詞性短語。例如：

文學賞析

1. And become nothing to you?

這是Jane含著眼淚非常激動而說出的一句話，從她的這句話，可以看出Jane是一個自尊心非常強的人，她不愿讓被人看不起，被別人愚弄。

這里也看出Jane心靈脆弱的一面，她受不了感情的折磨，她看到Rochester在和Ingram小姐娛樂的時候，當她聽到Rochester要和Ingram小姐結婚的時候，每一言每一語都刺痛著她的心，讓她痛楚。與其傷痛，為何不離開呢？因此Jane提出要離開桑菲爾莊園。

2. Am I a machine without feelings?

這句話用了比喻的手法，machine在這里比作人（person）。Jane用這個貼切，恰當的比喻表示出——她是有感情的人，而且自己的感情要受到別人的尊重，不是由他人來戲弄的，就如同機器一樣隨人擺布地運轉。

3. Do you think that because I am poor, obscure, plain and little that I am soulless and heartless?

這句話正道出了Jane的人物性格——情感豐富，善良友好，艱苦樸素，不求名利。
